ON YOUR SIDE (MAKOTO TACHIBANA x READER)

{ CHAPTER ONE }


The ocean's waves are silent, and the water is touching your feet. You look at the horizon, only to see darkness and the ocean. Your dress flutters in reply to the wind, and you let your hair fly in beat with it.

You look up to the bright, round moon hanging lazily from the sky. Around it are barely visible clouds hiding the tiny stars.

What a peaceful night. you thought.

" ( Your Name ) " you turned around to the voice, but only to feel everything disappear.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

" alright, alright. " you slam your fist to the alarm, and bury your face once more to your pillow.

" WAKE UP, ONEESAN! WAKE UP!! " your energetic little brother, Kaname, shouted at your door. When He noticed that you won't reply or open the door, he knocked furiosly like he's going to destroy the door with his tiny fists.

" HEEY! I GOT IT! "

you hear laughter then the pattering of footsteps down the stairs, and you quickly got up from the bed and run toward the door. You swiftly opened it and let your head out a bit.

" OI, KANAME! NO RUNNING ON THE STAIRS! "

he laughs and peeks from downstairs. " Gomen, Oneesan~ " he smiles at you and runs toward the dining room.

" That kid, really. "

you go back to your room and fix your bed, comb your bed hair and stifle a yawn. Today's your first day at a new school, called Iwatobi High. You moved here from the city nearby because of your parents' work. Kaname was the most excited though, because he said that he would meet new friends and the new school has a pool. You were the least excited, because you had to leave your friends and the place you just got used to.

You open your closet to get your towel, but also to take a look at the new school uniform: A navy blue blazer, white shirt, red bowtie (which indicates the year level), and a light brown skirt.

You thought it was cute, and everything could get better, but you just sighed at the fact that you're another stranger in this town.

You shook of the thought and walked downstairs to take a shower before eating breakfast.

" Eh? Shower before food, oneesan? " Kaname looked at you with his twinkling blue eyes while eating his favorite blueberry pancake at the dining table.

" Hmm, I want to be clean first before I eat. "

" Always the cleanest in the family, huh? " your father said while drinking his coffee.

Your mom smiled and put a bowl of lettuce salad in the table.

" Hurry before you catch a cold, darling. "
" Yes, mom. "

After taking a bath and eating your breakfast, you and Kaname had to take your bike to school because it was near, and you dropped him off at Iwatobi Elementary, and you waved goodbye as he walked on.

After 5 minutes of travel, you reach your school just in time. You went to the information and told you that you'll be staying at Class 1-2, and you walked toward the said room.

Your homeroom teacher, Mr. Asahina, told you his welcoming speech and introduced you to the class.

" This will be our new addition for today, Her name is ( Full name ) ,
please treat her well. "

The class turned to look at you, but looked to have no attention at all.

" Ohayou, minna-san. " you bowed in greeting and the class remained silent.

Just another nobody again, huh? She doesn't even have the looks

She seems nice, but I bet she's the loner type

Tch, nobody'll talk to her.

The class snickered those remarks, and you remained silent and pretended to not hear things as your teacher showed you your seat. You felt like burying your face to your bag the whole time and just cry, because even though you just got here, you felt unwanted. So you did. You buried your face on your bag as the whole class continued on.

" Hey there! " someone said, but you thought she isn't talking to you, so you just kept quiet.

" (Name)-chan? You okay? " you looked up from your bag to see a red-haired girl beside you look at you, with a concerned look on your face.

" Ah, yes. Please don't mind me. "

" Cheer up, new girl! let the jerks be. They're always like that. Smile for us, okay? " a little blonde boy said from infront of you, where he flashed a toothy grin.

" I'm Go- I'm Kou. My name's a boy's name so please, call me Kou. " she held up her hand and you shook it, and she smiled.

" I'm Nagisa, (Name)-chan~ " the blonde boy said.

" And this is Rei-chan " he said as he pulled the blue haired boy with red glasses beside him.

" oh, um, ohayou. " Rei said and gave you a weak smile.

" We'll be your friends, okay? Cheer up (name)-chan! " Kou said, and Nagisa smiled.

It seems that you're wanted after all.
